First of all

Does any of this sound familiar?

“I have tried diets, walking and medication, and nothing seems to work.”

“I try, but I always end up quitting. I suppose I just have no willpower.”

“It happened in my family too. This is just how it is.”

Those are the three things people say to me most often. And all three have the same explanation, and it is not the obvious one: what usually fails is not you, it is the plan. None of the ones you tried was built to last even two years. And your health is not something temporary.

The programme

Libertad Metabólica

Four phases, a plan built around your life and your blood test, and somebody checking in every week. Not a diet I hand you and leave you to it.

Nutrition

Built on what you already eat and what is already cooked in your house, with no banned foods. We work on the order of the dishes, the form of the carbohydrates and the protein in every meal.

Training

Under 30 minutes, at home, no experience needed. The coaches on the team plan it and review it: strength is not optional, because muscle is your biggest consumer of glucose.

Mindset

The part every plan ignores, and the one that explains why you quit in week three the other times. It is not therapy: it is seeing what makes it hard for you and fitting the plan around that.

Follow-up

Weekly, with daily support. Not a PDF and good luck: it adjusts to what happens in your life and in your blood tests.

What you can achieve

Who works with you

Pablo Berna Sierra

I am a nurse, dietitian and trainer, and for more than 14 years I have worked alongside people with type 2 diabetes, prediabetes and excess weight.

Nutrition, training, follow-up and support, all from the same team: that combination is unusual, and it is exactly what this needs.

From the blog

What almost nobody explains properly

Articles with data, cited sources and no salesman's promises. Written so you understand what is happening to you.

How we start

Three steps, and the first one is free

1

We talk

You tell me your situation, your blood test and what you have already tried. No commitment.

2

I tell you the truth

If I can help you, I explain how and what to expect. If I cannot, I tell you that too.

3

We begin

A plan built for you, weekly follow-up and daily support.

Questions

What almost everybody asks me

Will I have to go hungry?

No. The plan adapts to what you eat and to your schedule, with no extreme bans. Restrictive diets fail precisely because they cannot be sustained, and what cannot be sustained is no use to you.

How much exercise is involved?

Less than 30 minutes a day. Guidelines recommend 150 weekly minutes of moderate activity plus two or three strength sessions per week: that fits into half an hour a day and needs no gym.

Can I stop my medication?

Medication is always adjusted by your doctor. What the programme does is improve your values so that adjustment becomes possible. Many people manage to reduce it or avoid starting it, always under medical supervision and never on their own.

Does it work if I already inject insulin?

Yes, although the goal changes: improving your glycaemic control and body composition, coordinated with your medical team. Full remission is less frequent in that case, and I will tell you so honestly from the start.

How long does it last?

There is no end date: there are four phases and everyone moves at their own pace. By around the third month a blood test can already prove you right, because HbA1c reflects your last two or three months. But a quarter is the start of the road, not the end: type 2 diabetes takes years to appear and is not resolved in three weeks.

How much does it cost?

The price is not on the website because the support is not the same for everyone: someone with newly found prediabetes does not need the same as someone who has been on medication for years. I tell you on the first call, with the exact price and before you decide anything. That call is free and carries no commitment.

What if I live far away?

The programme is online and can be followed from anywhere in Spain. Follow-up is continuous and personal.

Let's talk

Please note. This programme supports and complements your medical treatment; it does not replace it. No medication change is made without your doctor.
